The Paint Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the paint department's daily operations, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety and environmental standards. This role includes managing a team of painters, coordinating projects, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that all work meets company and client specifications.
Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of painters, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Quality Control: Monitor painting processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective measures as needed.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and other departments to plan and schedule painting projects, ensuring timely completion.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct safety training and promote a safe working environment.
Material Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory of painting supplies and equipment. Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous materials.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for painting processes and equipment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, inventory, and safety reports.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the paint department.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in painting or coatings preferred.
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the painting industry.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Require knowledge of SAP & Lean Manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
