Key Roles and Responsibilities

:

Safety Compliance

: Ensure compliance with NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and Abu Dhabi-specific OSH frameworks (ADOSH-SF/OSHAD). Monitor adherence to safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

: Conduct risk assessments for infrastructure-related activities such as excavation, utilities installation, and road construction. Develop and implement risk control measures to minimize hazards.

Site Inspections and Audits

: Perform regular site inspections to identify potential safety risks and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Lead safety audits and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Incident Management

: Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures. Prepare detailed incident reports and share findings with stakeholders.

Training and Awareness Programs

: Develop and deliver safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and stakeholders. Promote a culture of safety and awareness on-site.

Emergency Preparedness

: Establish and maintain emergency response procedures and ensure readiness of all personnel to handle emergencies. Conduct regular drills and reviews of emergency plans.

Documentation and Reporting

: Maintain accurate records of safety activities, including risk assessments, inspections, training logs, and incident reports. Submit timely reports to regulatory authorities and management.

Regulatory Approvals and Coordination

: Liaise with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) for required approvals and inspections. Ensure compliance with local regulations and secure necessary certifications.

Project-Specific Safety Management

: Provide expert guidance on implementing safety protocols for infrastructure projects. Address safety challenges specific to construction, heavy equipment operations, and utilities installations.

Continuous Improvement

: Analyze safety trends and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices to enhance overall project safety performance.
