Job Title: Senior OSH Engineer / HSE Manager / Health & Safety Lead

:

Position Summary:

A highly experienced and qualified

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Engineer

responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective HSE policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with local regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, NEBOSH, NVQ Level 7). The role ensures that the organization meets and exceeds safety requirements across all operations, fostering a zero-incident culture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's

HSE Management System

.

- Conduct

risk assessments, hazard identification

, and

control measures

in alignment with ISO 45001 standards.

-

Lead internal and external audits

as an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor and ensure compliance with all regulatory and certification requirements.

- Prepare and deliver

safety training, toolbox talks

, and induction programs for staff, contractors, and visitors.

- Liaise with

regulatory bodies

, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to ensure safety compliance.

- Monitor, investigate, and report on

accidents, incidents, and near-misses

, and develop appropriate corrective/preventive actions.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant

OSH legislation, standards, and best practices

.

- Serve as the

technical expert and advisor

for all health and safety matters, providing guidance to project teams and senior management.

- Manage

HSE performance metrics

, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.

- Supervise or mentor junior safety staff or engineers and contribute to their professional development.

Qualifications and Certifications:

NVQ Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Health & Safety Management

(or equivalent)

NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma

-

ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor

- Additional qualifications in

environmental management (ISO 14001)

or

quality management (ISO 9001)

are a plus.

Experience:

- Minimum

12 years of progressive experience

in health, safety, and environmental engineering.

- Proven experience in

construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial sectors

is highly desirable.

- Strong experience in

safety leadership roles

with audit, risk management, and strategic planning responsibilities.

Skills and Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of

OSH laws, international safety standards

, and best practices.

- Excellent

communication, training, and leadership

skills.

- Strong

analytical and problem-solving

abilities.

- Proficient in preparing

HSE reports, documentation, and compliance audits

.

- Ability to work under pressure and in high-risk environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
