Oracle Database Engineer Location - Sharjah & Northern Emirates 1 year extendable contract JD:

Review of Oracle environment, keep tracking the security patches and apply it based on schedule agreed with RERD
Reporting of current issues and user concerns.
Review and analysis of Oracle configuration, including memory parameters, checkpoint times and disk allocation
Analysis of Oracle statistics, including cache rates, disk usage and overall performance (for example, system slowing down and what configuration changes to Oracle software or hardware capacity addition needed)
Analysis and documentation of all existing oracle batch (cron) jobs.
Diagnostic report identifying weakness and risks as well as correction and optimization recommendations
Capacity plan (how large the database currently is and how fast it is growing and make prediction about future needs. Storage: how much room the database takes up in server and backup space. Capacity: usage level)
Monthly customized support services which may be used for tuning, monitoring, consulting for current issues or consulting on other Oracle related subjects.
