Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Operations Manager PPS/DF is responsible for operations execution in the assigned Location. OM is accountable for: Financial performance of the assigned business unit, Equipment Operations, repair & maintenance budgets, training, development and competency of field personnel, staffing and recruiting, quality improvements and initiatives, process improvements, field technical and equipment compliance audits are key directives of this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

+ Ensures the Location Operations departments, equipment and personnel comply with PPS/DF and Weatherford standards and policies.

+ Directs, maintains, and enforces "Safety" from the Location Operations organization. All Operations facilities must follow approved safe-work procedures and all equipment must be

maintained in a safe condition. The correct facility equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be provided and used.

+ Ensure all Operations facilities have and use a documented process that covers all Operations scheduling and requirements arising from preventative Operations (Level I, II, & III), failures, equipment modifications, Must Do, and other Operations Bulletins. This process must include RO close out and communication of unit status.

+ Monitors and analyzes Operations financial performance parameters (eg. Revenue trends, costs, labor, PM compliance rates, schedule compliance, etc). Develops initiatives and strategies to correct those which are below standard and also to improve the efficiency and effectiveness in the assigned Location.

+ Directs and controls location Operations facilities, Operations budgets (Via JDE) and programs to ensure optimization and effectiveness of resources at all times. Aids Location Operations Support and Service Delivery Managers with asset utilization & planning.

+ Provides technical support to assigned personnel for equipment and processes within the location. Works with the Area Operations Manager to ensure all lessons-learned and Operations "Best Practices" are shared with Geozone and PLs.

+ Ensures company, city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the Location Operations departments are always met. Identify and help develop additional safe operating standards to comply with local regulations where required.

+ Promotes the correct use of the computer-based systems used for the planning, reporting, documentation of Operations services and utilization of equipment.

+ Ensures that FE/FS/ME's are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the Operations training program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. Follow up to resolve excessive delays in individual development as identified in the Training database.

+ Monitors the career progression of the Location's FE/FS/ME population, identifies good performers and responsible for effective succession planning of key Operations personnel.

+ Work closely with the Geozone PL Manager and the Global SDM to ensure that recruiting and staffing needs are well defined and on target.

+ Works to develop a motivated and empowered Operations workforce in the Location using communication and reward schemes.

+ Participate & assist in training seminars. Identifies Location-specific Operations training needs and works with Operations Training function to provide the necessary training.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED . 5-10 years previous Weatherford experience in an operations management position

PREFFERED . Experience in Oman cementing operations or any other country in Middle East

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

+ Communication (English) - Verbal & Written

+ Knowledge of Work and Understanding of Product/Service Technology.

+ Able to handle P&L terminology, additional to other financial statements.
