ob Summary: The O&M Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment and systems within a facility, plant, or site. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, conducting inspections, and supporting operational activities to minimize downtime and maximize performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment such as turbines, pumps, compressors, motors, and control systems.
Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
2. Operations Support:
Monitor plant/facility operations to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in startup, shutdown, and operational procedures.
Record and report operational data, including equipment performance and maintenance logs.
3. Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and hazard assessments.
Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies.
Participate in safety meetings and emergency response drills.
4. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot faults.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to solve complex problems.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Complete work orders and submit reports on equipment status.
Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
