Job Description
ob Summary: The O&M Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment and systems within a facility, plant, or site. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, conducting inspections, and supporting operational activities to minimize downtime and maximize performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment such as turbines, pumps, compressors, motors, and control systems.
- Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
- Monitor plant/facility operations to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in startup, shutdown, and operational procedures.
- Record and report operational data, including equipment performance and maintenance logs.
- Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and hazard assessments.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies.
- Participate in safety meetings and emergency response drills.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot faults.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to solve complex problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Complete work orders and submit reports on equipment status.
- Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
