Job Summary: The O&M Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of [plant/facility/equipment], ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance. This role involves supervising technicians, coordinating maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations Supervision:
Monitor and supervise daily operations to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems.
Ensure smooth plant/facility operations in compliance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
2. Maintenance Management:
Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history.
3. Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor O&M technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
4. Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Conduct safety meetings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Ensure all operations meet industry standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.) and company policies.
5. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
Diagnose technical issues and implement timely solutions to minimize disruptions.
Work with engineering teams to resolve complex operational problems.
Maintain a high level of technical knowledge regarding plant systems.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare daily/weekly reports on operational performance, maintenance activities, and incidents.
Maintain accurate records of equipment status, inventory, and spare parts.
Report critical issues to senior management with recommended actions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
Experience: 3-5 years in operations & maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, PLCs, SCADA, and maintenance best practices.
Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Certifications: OSHA, PMP, or relevant industry certifications (preferred).
Software Proficiency: CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), MS Office.
Working Conditions:
May require shift work, on-call availability, or overtime.
Physical ability to inspect equipment in industrial environments (climbing, lifting, etc.).
Exposure to noise, heat, or hazardous materials (with proper PPE).
Performance Metrics:
Equipment uptime & reliability.
Compliance with safety & maintenance schedules.
Reduction in operational downtime & maintenance costs.
