Job Description
Simulator Training
Enact pilot's role during exercises in the ATC simulator Act as Flight Data Processor during simulator exercises Act as simulator exercise support by communicating as external/internal units Perform OJT of new pseudo pilots.
Technical Competency
Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant parts of PANS ATM and ICAO documents, Emirates AIP and local ATC instructions of the UAE ACC Undergo periodic competency checking in handling of simulator duties.
Training equipment readiness
Participate in testing, configuration and commissioning of relevant equipment and software relating to the simulator and its upgrades as and when needed. Assist in keeping all relevant TRN data and documentation up to date. Maintain a through operational knowledge and understanding of the equipment and systems used for the provision of ATS in the UAE FIR. Bring to the attention of ATSIs any occurrence or system failure that will affect the simulator.
Training Administrative support
Assist ATSIs in collating data and preparing exercises for the simulator. Complete progress reports on trainee PPs and discuss the contents with the trainees, other OJTIs and management Provide administrative support to Senior ATSIs
Knowledge and Experiences:
High school education, without previous experience.
