Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To maintain coordination with flight operations, ground handling services, passenger handling services and government agencies for incident reporting and ad hoc situations, while conducting regular observations and inspections to identify areas for development, ensuring regulatory and company procedures are accurately executed, and proactively enhancing AVSEC standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contributes to promoting and maintaining a culture of security at flydubai in line with the IATA SeMS principles.
• Liaises with other departments to resolve operational aviation security related issues.
• Supports and occasionally participates in the escorting team to ensure smooth processing and transport of persons and valuables, including verification of documents.
• Assesses and analyzes deportee, inadmissible cases, persons in custody.
• Maintains an understanding of all national and international AVSEC legislation and their amendments/enhancements/changes that may affect operations within and outside the UAE.
• Supports management with improvements and process evaluations, including the current blacklisting policy.
• Provides timely response and support to flydubai staff in the event of disruptive or unruly passengers, liaising with appropriate authorities and reporting the occurrences.
• Detects and prevents security breaches and pilferage, including conducting body searches and responding to checked baggage and in-flight pilferage cases.
• Conducts internal observations, tests and inspections based on trend and threat identification.
• Contributes towards the overall improvement of flydubai's AVSEC department procedures through feedback and observations of operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years) aviation management or related field
• Fluent in English
• Proficient in use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Years with qualifications: 0 - 2 years
• Certification or equivalent approval by the appropriate authority or Association e.g. IATA Aviation Security Course is preferred
• Valid UAE Driving License

ISR Requirements: Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
