Odoo Functional Consultant (Implementation & Technical Setup) - Qatar

Job Overview:

We are looking for a capable and proactive

Odoo Functional Consultant

to assist in the implementation, configuration, and support of our

Odoo Community Edition

setup. This role requires both functional knowledge and hands-on technical skills to configure core apps, customize workflows, and support operational needs across HR, POS, Inventory, and other modules for our retail and services business.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze real-world business processes and translate them into Odoo workflows and configurations. Install and technically configure Odoo apps from backend, including:

Employees & Attendance

(setup check-in methods, assign IDs)

Payroll

(salary rules, contracts, payroll to accounting link)

POS & Sales

(payment methods, product setup, receipt config)

Inventory

(stock routes, warehouse setup, product categorization)

Fleet

(vehicles, cost tracking, driver assignments)

Invoicing & Accounting

(journals, taxes, payment flows)

Calendar, CRM, Website

(basic setup for scheduling and lead gen) Perform advanced configuration like activating developer mode, handling app dependencies, loading demo/test data, and installing. Document all functional use cases and app purposes for internal records. Train internal team on module usage and business-specific workflows. Troubleshoot functional issues and provide ongoing support. Help manage user permissions, roles, and backend settings as required.

Required Qualifications:

Solid experience configuring and using

Odoo Community Edition

, especially recent versions (v16-v18). Ability to install apps manually, troubleshoot module errors, and adjust backend settings. Hands-on knowledge of

real-use functional flows

in retail, HR, accounting, and service-based businesses. Familiarity with Linux server environments, Python virtual environments, and Odoo terminal commands (preferred). Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Bonus Skills:

Previous experience managing full-cycle Odoo implementations. Experience with terminal-based module installations or restoring missing views. Odoo certification or ERP implementation projects. Arabic language (preferred).
