The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare & Curriculum Delivery o Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or local curriculum requirements. o Observe, assess, and record each child's progress and development. o Encourage children's learning through play and structured activities. o Support children in developing their independence and social skills. Health, Safety, and Wellbeing o Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times. o Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the classroom and play areas. o Follow safeguarding, health, and safety policies and procedures. Behaviour Management o Promote positive behaviour, manage conflicts calmly, and model respectful behaviour. o Support children in understanding rules and routines. Communication & Partnerships o Build positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's day and development. o Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues when required. o Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. General Duties o Prepare resources and materials for daily activities. o Maintain records and reports accurately and timely. o Assist with feeding, toileting, and personal care as needed.



Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. o Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a nursery or early years setting. o Sound knowledge of child development and early learning frameworks. o Good communication and interpersonal skills. o Patience, creativity, and passion for working with young children. o First Aid and Child Protection certifications (preferred).
