  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Network Fundamentals

  • Good understanding and hands-on experience and configuration with network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, SIP, IPSec and 802.1x or similar
  • Experience with Juniper JUNOS, encryptor and firewall solutions
  • Knowledge/experience Suite-B encryption and firewall security rules
  • Experience with ISP-like IP network infrastructure maintenance and operation
  • Experience with VLSM CIDR IP addressing design and implementation
  • Experience with configuration of encryption and security solutions such as IPSec, VPN, Suite B, firewall rules, access control lists, integration of network devices with centralized Network Services such as LDAP, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Authorities
  • Implementation experience of Network Management concepts within network devices such as SNMPv3, Syslog, OID filtering
  • Implementation experience of Facility switch aggregation and Data Center network design patterns
  • Experience with network troubleshooting techniques (CLI-based) and tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.)
  • Experience/knowledge of the complete range of network design drawings used for specification, fabrication, assembly, wiring, inspection, and installation of equipment
  • Experience with secure and reliable networks and network management
  • Strong system engineering skills with an emphasis on software-intensive systems and system of systems integration
  • Familiarity with cyber security and multiple security enclaves
Desired Skills Experience with the following:
  • Juniper network devices like MX, SRX, EX Juniper series devices
  • Industry and Vendor Certifications (JNCIP, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, JNCIS, etc.)
  • IP Network infrastructure to support tactical systems
  • Documentation of engineering artifacts in support of site configurations and installations

About the Role

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced, motivated, high-performing, quick-learning, and passionate network engineer to join our team to support our customer\'s command and control system.

You will need to be an Emeriti national to be able to be apply for this role.

The Network Engineer will support the customer with updates, maintenance, and implementation of networking equipment configurations for the Emirates Air Defense Ground Environment - Transformation (EADGE-T) system.The Network Engineer ensures system security, performance, and availability of the network for 24/7 operations. Additionally, the Network Engineer will assist and support the customer with monitoring the status of the overall EADGE-T system and the network using WebNMS/Junos Space and other network management tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of network systems, including but not limited to LAN, WAN and Data Centre networking, VoIP, Firewalls, and Wireless services Support of day-to-day system management tasks, including proactive network monitoring Assist with gathering of requirements, design, estimate, coordinate with vendors, etc. for assigned projects
  • Support continued service improvement, and maintenance tasks to ensure network devices are compliant with security requirements
  • Perform network design artifacts and configuration updates, as necessary, and facilitate the addition/removal of sites as the EADGE-T System continues to evolve
  • Perform technical assistance, guidance, and on-the-job training to UAE engineers in troubleshooting network issues, including identification and isolation of problems, resolution including configuration changes, as necessary, and test verification
  • Manage and maintain network documentation and network problem reports
  • Occasional domestic and international travel to remote sites is required
  • Ability to support off-nominal work hours to support mission needs (night and weekends)
