POSITION SUMMARY
Our Nespresso business is looking to hire a Regional Commercial Controller for the MENA region, you will assist the management to handle a multitude of complex countries, while you assume dual responsibility in facing both business and finance stakeholders across the organization.
You will co-pilot the business development and decision making in the region, while providing business insights and valued financial expertise. In doing so, you will ensure high quality management reporting, enable financial transparency and facilitate optimal resource allocation.
A DAY IN THE LIFE \xe2\x80\xa6
  • Participate in the Distributor strategy development process and ensure the commercial plan is executed in line with the strategy.
  • Management of Regional Sales Reporting and Forecasting - Ensure accurate and timely monthly sales reporting, including providing analysis and insights into the results. Utilizing insights to develop sales forecast, in collaboration with SCM and local Distributor\'s Finance functions, which accurately reflect the future performance of each Market.
  • Ensure quality financial information is used by the business for decision making and that potential risks and opportunities are anticipated and understood. Promote the usage of external and internal information for benchmarking.
  • Monitor and controls the marketing spend making sure that the budget is not exceeded, and allocation is done according to latest plan.
  • Advise on annual resource planning and variance tracking (at MEA and Selected Markets Level)
  • Monitor and report Structural Cost expenditure, ensuring "on budget" mindset whilst driving efficient use of resources
  • Manage the accurate and timely production of monthly and full-year forecasts and relevant financial reports across the management team/markets. Consolidate selected KPIs and review into actionable summary information in order to provide high quality data / timely framework, as well as the reliable measurement of the selected KPIs.
  • Actively drive the Monthly Business Planning Process, challenging the data input to ensure quality forecasting. Coordinates Revenue and Costs forecasts for region and customer (contribution)
  • Promote Business Planning Best Practices (i.e. One Number Principles, planning cycles) and Tools across the organization/ market and ensure alignment with operational processes
  • Ensure that planning tools work efficiently, working procedures are documented, and that there is integration and consistency within system and scope
  • Review and provide insights on the impact of Distributor Pricing updates, Transfer Pricing changes, exchange rates and other commercial factors.
  • Analyze and challenge product cost performance and product portfolio (distributor level) to identify cost optimization opportunities, eliminate Value Destroyers and maximize the return on investment from TTS/PFME (including revised pricing structures) and from the capital asset base.

  • Min BA/BS Degree in Business Administration / Finance
  • Sustainable performance in Finance function with leadership exposure
  • Internal Controls Management exposure
  • Experience within a network organization with both internal and external providers
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience
  • Knowledge of product portfolio and brand profitability
  • Solid understanding of business processes, internal controls and Finance/Control/Sales best practices
  • Good working knowledge of customer and channel dimensions of the market and relevant sales strategy.
  • Thorough understanding of business environment and competition.
