Telum Media creates connections between the media and public relations sectors using our industry-focused online media contacts database, events, news and communications channels.



Our media teams, located across the Asia Pacific region, work diligently to ensure our media database is updated with accurate and relevant information.






They also create and obtain sign-off on industry-relevant content by reaching out to journalists, publishing short and long-form content, and supporting calls for help with our Media Requests service.





All this helps public relations firms and in-house communication teams connect with the right journalists and media outlets at the right time.




We are looking for a Manager to lead our Middle East Media Team based in Dubai where you will work alongside knowledgeable and professional colleagues.





What you will do:


Coach, lead, manage and mentor colleagues to increase individual and Team confidence and knowledge Manage the successful completion of Team targets, to deadline and to high standards, in-line with business plans Lead and guide the Team to achieve Telum's journalist engagement strategy, including the publishing of accurate, newsworthy content, with minimal edits Serve as a role model and resource in being able to inspire and guide others towards accomplishing goals Network with journalists and senior industry figures face-to-face, and represent Telum at industry events Engage with journalists over the phone, through email and / or online Manage the recruitment process for all new hires and all people related matters including annual leave, sickness, expenses and quarterly performance reviews


What we are looking for:


Excellent leadership and Team management skills to cultivate a culture of high performance and collaboration Demonstrable managerial experience Proven experience of networking with journalists and senior industry figures Proven ability to coach, mentor and motivate colleagues Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work An understanding of the media / journalism industry would be an advantage Knowledge of or a willingness to learn about the media industry Knowledge of or a willingness to learn about the PR industry, what Telum customers do and how they use Telum to achieve their objectives A proven ability to drive process improvement and operational excellence Proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred
