Merchandising Manager

OVERVIEW

• Conduct the Buying for the Middle East \xe2\x80\x93 all categories
• Define the purchasing plan
• Select the product offer on each category and boutique in connection with OTB and guidelines
• Review OTB to ensure growth across categories
• Conduct sales and market analysis to share with Headquarters and understand trends
• Monitor performance on the level of SKUs
• Analyze and monitor store performance via management tools
• Implement monthly business reports with action plans
• Follow-up on collection launches and allocation priorities
• Identify levers of opportunities and implement actions such as develop capsules and exclusive packages for the Middle East, etc.
• Work on the mark-down and pricing strategies with the Retail Manager and Fashion Director
• Manage stock: optimize sell-through and stock coverage through stock rotations, transfers, best-sellers, re-orders and return proposals
• Design extensive training materials and conduct sessions as needed
• Work with the Visual Merchandiser across the network to implement product and maison strategies
• Collaborate with boutiques to collect their feedback and assess their needs

• Minimum 7 years experience in retail merchandising within a luxury fashion house
• Strong business acumen, ability to anticipate market needs, possesses knowledge of sales objectives to help maximize conversion and cross-selling
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to plan and set priorities
• Attention to details, ability to enforce deadlines and be able to multi-task through strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical skills to establish budgets and understand sales figures (advanced level on Excel)
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment, quickly identify problems and recommend solutions
• Excellent communication and a taste for negotiation
• Proactive and collaborative team spirit
• Fluent English required, Arabic speakers are preferred due to the requirements of the role
