The Regional Sales Merchandising Manager (SMM) is responsible for developing and executing the Sales Merchandising strategy of the region for all product categories in Internal Retail \xe2\x80\x93 Full priced boutiques and Outlets in the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, South Africa and India, e-commerce and support External Boutiques. The jobholder will create and review analysis of merchandise at store level and propose results-oriented actions, supervising product flow and communicating corporate strategies to the network (online/off-line).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • From the offer definition to the implementation in store: In collaboration with the Headquarter Sales Merchandising team, the SMM segments the network of stores and the collections to optimize retail purchases while respecting the coherence of the brand and local specificities:
  • Translate the brand and commercial strategy of the Maison into concrete merchandise and assortment planning.
  • Understand the current network and design a boutique classification based on quantitative and qualitative criteria in order to define which product offer should be present in which boutiques (width and depth).
  • Ensure that best-sellers (top-20 per category) and new products are available in boutique at all times (Supply requests/ Btq. redistribution)
  • Collaborate with DTC (Direct to client) departments in the assortment definition, analysis and finding synergies, quick wins, and best practices to extend across on-line/off-line business.
  • Ensure close collaboration with Supply Chain and Visual Merchandising to monitor supply needs and timely arrival of merchandise.

  • Analyze the markets and sales of the boutique network in order to size the turnover forecasts and build the budget framework in collaboration with Supply Chain and Finance :
  • Point out local needs and input these for consideration in global strategy
  • Define reporting tools and manage KPIs relating to sales, volume, as well as stock allocated to boutiques (sales, Sell Thru %, stock rotation, stock cover etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Provide monthly/quarterly qualitative, quantitative, competitive analysis and market needs to the local management and HQ Sales Merchandising team for future product development.
  • Continue stirring and proposing local exclusivities

  • Animate and accompany the life of the product at the points of sale: launches, sales operations, stock optimization, etc. Present in the field, establish a close relationship with the Boutique managers and sales teams, train them and get them to adhere to the collections:
  • Recommend the visible assortment and detailed plans for each boutique in collaboration with HQ Sales Merchandising team.
  • In coordination with the Visual Merchandising team, you make sure that the VM guidelines are respected and supporting sales.
  • Support and overlook retail and boutique teams operating in markets to ensure correct implementation of the Sales Merchandising principles.
  • Identify key areas for development in underperforming point-of-sales
  • Keep track of boutique defectives, quality issues, stock takes, stock adjustments and any other stock related topics.
  • Main point of contact for Limited Editions requests
  • Follow closely lifecycles to ensure Outlet Eligible stock is duly transferred as well as monitoring stock levels and results in Outlet Boutiques.

Skills : Must have
  • University degree
  • Prior experience as a Sales Merchandiser or equivalent
  • Professional experience: minimum 5 years
  • Strong product sensibility and deep knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Experience in Luxury goods, Fashion industry is preferred
  • Capable of quantitative analysis with a proven ability to work with numbers
  • Effective communication and ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Good understanding of Retail and Supply Chain management
  • Good understanding of the leather good industry is a plus
