Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven

MEP Technical Manager

to oversee the technical aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for high-rise construction projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure the effective design, coordination, and execution of MEP works while adhering to project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, design, and execution of MEP systems for high-rise projects. Review and approve MEP designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and local regulations. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with overall building designs. Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery. Ensure MEP installations meet quality standards, industry best practices, and local authority regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP works to identify and rectify any discrepancies. Monitor MEP project budgets, ensuring cost control and value engineering without compromising quality. Manage the allocation of technical resources, including manpower and materials. Address technical challenges, design conflicts, and site-related issues, providing innovative and practical solutions. Ensure the implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable MEP practices. Prepare detailed technical reports, progress updates, and presentations for stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation for design changes, approvals, and as-built drawings. Mentor and guide MEP teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Conduct training sessions to keep the team updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience and Skills:

Experience:

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in MEP roles, with at least 5 years as a Technical Manager on high-rise construction projects in Dubai or the GCC region.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Certifications:

PMP, LEED AP, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, high-rise construction methodologies, and local building codes. Proficiency in design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Primavera. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
