Job Description
Team Leader for Facility Maintenance, your primary role is to lead and oversee a team of professionals responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of MEP systems within a facility or multiple facilities. You will ensure that all MEP systems are functioning optimally, meeting safety standards, and supporting the efficient operation of the facility. Your position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize maintenance tasks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of MEP technicians and subcontractors, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
- Oversee and coordinate MEP activities for facility management projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other stakeholders to plan and execute MEP projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure timely completion of MEP tasks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of MEP work, identify issues, and provide technical guidance and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MEP-related problems that arise during project implementation, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation of MEP activities, including reports, project files, and relevant records.
- Foster a culture of safety among the team, promoting adherence to safety procedures and standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in MEP systems and technologies.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, facilitating their professional growth and development.
- Proven experience as an MEP Team Leader or similar role within the facility management industry.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of technicians and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to troubleshoot MEP issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using MEP-related software, tools, and equipment.
- Understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in MEP systems or related fields (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline (preferred).
- 2 plus years of UAE Experience (Required)
- UAE Driver's License (Required)
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
