to manage all aspects of cost planning, estimation, and commercial control for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works. The ideal candidate will have strong technical proficiency in quantity surveying tools, CAD applications, and cost management software, along with solid knowledge of contract administration and procurement procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze
cost to complete
forecasts for MEP works.
Develop
detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
based on design drawings and specifications.
Work proficiently with
AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Revit
(moderate knowledge required).
Utilize
MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
Generate accurate quantity take-offs using
PlanSwift and CostX
software.
Draft and review
contractual letters
, notices, and other correspondence in line with contract terms.
Participate in
procurement activities
including preparing RFQs, evaluating vendor quotations, and preparing price comparison statements.
Support site-based procurement by coordinating with suppliers/subcontractors and conducting commercial negotiations.
Monitor project budgets and cash flows related to MEP work packages.
Liaise with the project and site teams to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of work done.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum [X] years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying.
Strong knowledge of
cost estimation
, tendering, and commercial management practices.
Familiarity with
local/international contract standards
(e.g., FIDIC) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and reporting.
