Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

MEP Project/Technical Engineer

with a strong background in data center projects to support the design, coordination, and execution of large-scale MEP works. The role is with a leading MEP contractor known for delivering high-profile, technically complex projects across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and oversee MEP design development and technical submittals during the pre-construction phase. Collaborate with consultants, clients, and internal teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements and project deliverables. Review design drawings and provide technical solutions to ensure constructability and compliance with specifications. Support BIM coordination and participate in clash detection and resolution processes. Lead site inspections and support the project delivery team in resolving technical issues during construction. Prepare technical documentation, method statements, and material submissions. Ensure compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols. Liaise with procurement and commercial teams to support technical aspects of material and subcontractor selection.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering roles, with at least 2 years on data center projects. Proven experience with large-scale, fast-track MEP installations. Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) specific to mission-critical facilities. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and MS Office Suite. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Availability to be based in Dubai short-term and relocate to Abu Dhabi for site-based work.

Preferred:

Previous experience in the UAE or GCC region. Familiarity with Tier III or Tier IV data center standards.
