Job Description

We are looking for a skilled MEP Estimator with a minimum of

3 years of experience in the UAE

to prepare accurate cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of local market pricing, materials, and subcontractors, with proven experience in tendering, quantity take-offs, and technical evaluations for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and project specifications for MEP works. Conduct detailed

quantity take-offs

for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. Prepare

cost estimates

, budgets, and technical proposals for projects in the UAE. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Analyze and compare subcontractor/supplier offers for technical and commercial compliance. Prepare

value engineering options

to optimize project cost. Work closely with the engineering and project teams to clarify design details and project scope. Ensure all estimates align with UAE market norms, standards, and regulations. Prepare tender queries, clarifications, and attend technical meetings when required. Finalize tender submissions including pricing sheets, breakdowns, and supporting documents.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 years of MEP estimation experience in the UAE

(mandatory). Strong knowledge of UAE material pricing, suppliers, and subcontractor networks. Experience with MEP systems such as HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, and Electrical installations. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, MS Office, and estimation software

(e.g., PlanSwift, Candy, Excel-based BOQs). Strong analytical, numerical, and technical evaluation skills. Ability to read and interpret complex MEP drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Preferred

Experience with high-rise, commercial, residential, or industrial projects in the UAE. Knowledge of local codes (e.g., DEWA, DM, ADDC, Civil Defense). UAE driving license (optional but an advantage).
