Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

MEP Estimation Engineer

to join our Estimation Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems with a minimum of 3 years' experience in estimation, preferably within the UAE/GCC region. You will be responsible for evaluating project specifications and drawings, preparing cost estimates, and supporting the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection). Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and technical proposals. Utilize software tools like AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and MS Excel for measurement and estimation. Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and technical evaluations when required. Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Procurement, and Project Management) to ensure alignment in cost estimates. Prepare and compile tender documents, clarifications, and cost breakdowns in accordance with client requirements. Monitor and update cost databases, price lists, and historical project data to enhance future estimates. Assist in value engineering and alternative proposals to optimize project costs. Support post-tender negotiations and respond to client queries when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Minimum 3 years

of proven experience in MEP estimation (preferably in the UAE/GCC market). Proficient in estimation tools such as

AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and Microsoft Excel

. Solid understanding of MEP drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies. Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage):

Knowledge of local construction standards and pricing norms in the UAE/GCC. Experience working with estimation software like

CCS Candy

or

Bluebeam

. Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems.
