Job title : MEP Draftsman (HVAC & Electrical) Location : Abu Dhabi (Khalifa Park) Responsibilities: 1. Review and Interpretation of Design Documents:
- Examine MEP (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, Plumbing & Drainage, Electrical etc.) engineering drawings to understand project requirements.
- Interpret sketches, rough drawings, and specifications to create detailed and precise construction drawings.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D Engineering drawings for HVAC, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, Plumbing & Drainage, Electrical etc.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D MEP Services Coordination Drawings.
- Generate plans, elevations, sections, and details of structures, including foundations, structural elements, and utilities.
- Adhere to industry standards and drafting guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in drawings.
- Stay updated on changes in design and drafting standards.
- Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand design concepts and make necessary adjustments.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions into drawings to meet project specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity and cost estimates by providing accurate drawings and dimensions.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate project cost projections.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals for construction projects.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Prepare and update drawing sets for internal and external distribution.
- Conduct site visits to gather information for drawing preparation.
- Document changes and modifications to the original drawings during the construction phase.
- Provide technical support to the project team and resolve drafting-related issues during construction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project progression.
- Stay abreast of advancements in CAD technology and industry best practices.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in drawings and compliance with regulations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve drafting issues efficiently.
- The job location would be Abu Dhabi (Khalifa Park )
- Interviews would be In person ( Technical Drawing & Personal Interview)
