Key Responsibilities

Oversee and lead the

entire MEP design process

from concept through IFC stages for high-rise, residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. Manage and coordinate

HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire systems

designs to ensure technical excellence and full integration with architectural and structural disciplines. Review and approve all

design deliverables, calculations, specifications, and BOQs

prepared by the engineering team. Perform and verify

load calculations, power distribution studies, and hydraulic analysis

to ensure code compliance and optimal system performance. Lead

design coordination meetings

with consultants, developers, and local authorities (DEWA, DCD, ADDC, ADM, etc.). Conduct

value engineering studies

to reduce cost while maintaining design integrity. Provide

technical leadership, mentorship, and training

for design teams and junior engineers. Manage

BIM implementation

(Revit MEP, Navisworks) and ensure all MEP systems are fully coordinated in 3D. Ensure full compliance with international design standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, IPC, NEC, DEWA). Review tender documents and provide

technical input during bidding

and

design verification

phases.

Technical Expertise

Software:

Revit MEP, AutoCAD, HAP, Elite, DIALux, ETAP, Navisworks.

Design Standards:

ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, BS, IPC, NEC, local UAE authority codes.

Core Systems:

HVAC & Mechanical ventilation Electrical distribution & lighting systems Fire protection & alarm systems Plumbing & drainage networks BMS, ELV & low-voltage systems Expert in

design audits, peer reviews, and value engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree

in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

20+ years

of solid MEP design consultancy experience (at least 10 years in the GCC). Strong background in

concept design, detailed design, IFC, and tender documentation

. Excellent leadership and coordination skills across all MEP disciplines.

Membership / Certification:

Chartered Engineer (CEng), PMI, or equivalent is an advantage.

Pay: From AED27,000.00 per month
