Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

MEP Design Engineer

with at least 2

years of experience

in designing and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP standards, building codes, and sustainable design practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop

MEP systems

(HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) in coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines Prepare and review

detailed design drawings

, schematics, specifications, and BOQs Perform

load calculations

, equipment sizing, and ductwork/piping layouts using design software Ensure compliance with

local codes

, regulations, and industry standards (ASHRAE, NEC, IPC, etc.) Conduct

site visits

and coordinate with contractors to resolve technical issues during construction Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery and quality control Implement

energy-efficient

and

sustainable design

principles wherever applicable

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field Minimum 2

years of experience

in MEP design engineering Proficiency in tools such as

AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, HAP, ETAP

, or equivalent Solid knowledge of

HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing layouts

, and

fire protection systems

Familiarity with

LEED standards

and

green building practices

is a plus Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred, not required) Experience working with international building codes or on multi-disciplinary projects Previous experience in

design-build

or

consultancy firms
