Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring budget adherence, and providing accurate financial analysis for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems for MEP projects. Monitor and track project costs, expenditures, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and maintain project budgets in coordination with project managers and MEP teams. Provide regular financial forecasts and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Analyze project expenses and ensure they align with budget allocations. Evaluate cost variances and recommend corrective actions. Generate detailed cost reports for stakeholders, highlighting budget status, variances, and trends. Maintain accurate records of all financial data related to MEP projects. Collaborate with the procurement team to manage vendor contracts, material pricing, and cost negotiations. Verify that procurement activities align with project budgets and cost projections. Evaluate the financial impact of design or scope changes on MEP budgets. Work closely with project teams to assess and approve cost variations. Identify potential financial risks in projects and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with contractual and financial regulations.

Qualifications and Experience and Skills:

Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years in cost control, preferably in the MEP or construction industry.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Certifications:

PMP, CCP, or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Skills:

Proficient in cost control software and tools (e.g., Primavera, SAP, or equivalent). Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities. In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and contract management
