Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all construction activities, drawings, and materials comply with project specifications, DEWA, Civil Defense, and JAFZA regulations. Continuously monitor site activities and provide timely alerts and updates to the Project Director, Construction Manager, and Planning Engineer for immediate action where required. Supervise the preparation and integration of coordination drawings to confirm alignment among all services and structural elements in accordance with contractual and technical standards. Review and ensure builder's work drawings are complete and coordinated with various engineering disciplines for optimal installation and implementation. Anticipate and communicate potential site conflicts or clashes between MEP works and main contractor activities to the Project Director, ensuring proactive resolution. Track the status of materials and shop drawings, keep all stakeholders informed, and ensure client feedback is implemented promptly. Distribute relevant technical documentation, regulations, and updates to all stakeholders and confirm receipt and compliance. Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, MEP coordinators, engineers, and the Construction Manager to secure work clearances prior to execution, ensuring efficient workflow. Provide on-site technical support and resolve any MEP-related technical challenges to maintain project timelines. Lead the coordination and submission of as-built drawings during project close-out, ensuring compliance with contractual quality standards and timelines.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in contracting firms within the UAE. In-depth knowledge of UAE regulations, shop drawing standards, and proficiency in MS Office. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with consultants and subcontractors. Proven team player with a high level of self-motivation and initiative. Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
