Job Description
Overview:
The MEP Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on construction projects. The role ensures cost control, value optimization, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare
cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans
for MEP works Measure, take-off, and prepareBills of Quantities (BOQs)
for MEP services Evaluatetender documents
, analyze bids, and prepare tender comparison reports Manageprocurement
of MEP materials, subcontractors, and services Monitorproject costs
, variations, and cash flow related to MEP works Prepare and assessinterim valuations
, payment applications, and final accounts Evaluate and negotiatevariations, claims, and change orders
Coordinate withdesign, project, and site teams
to ensure cost-effective solutions Ensure compliance withcontractual terms and conditions
Preparecost reports
, forecasts, and financial statements for management Assist invalue engineering
and cost-saving initiatives Support project close-out, includingfinal accounts and handover documentation
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
MEP systems
(HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV) Proficiency inmeasurement and cost control
techniques Experience withstandard forms of contract
(FIDIC, NEC, JCT, etc.) Good understanding ofprocurement strategies
and subcontract management Excellentnegotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Proficient inExcel, cost management software, and AutoCAD
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED7,500.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
Experience:
UAE Construction Industry: 3 years (Required) High Rise Construction project in UAE: 1 year (Required)
