Senior MEP Coordinator

to join our team and manage the coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across major construction projects.

Job Summary

The

Senior MEP Coordinator

will be responsible for leading all MEP coordination activities, ensuring design compliance, and overseeing installation works to meet project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing MEP subcontractors and interfacing with consultants, architects, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Review and coordinate all MEP shop drawings, builder's work drawings, and design documents to ensure proper integration with structural and architectural systems. Lead coordination meetings between MEP subcontractors, civil teams, consultants, and clients. Ensure MEP installations are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, etc.). Monitor progress of MEP activities on site and report delays or technical issues to the Project Manager. Review materials and method statements for compliance with specifications and ensure timely submittals and approvals. Coordinate MEP works within critical areas such as risers, shafts, ceiling zones, and plant rooms to avoid clashes and reworks. Support project teams in technical reviews, value engineering proposals, and cost-control initiatives. Supervise site inspections with consultants and ensure quality control at every stage. Follow up with subcontractors on manpower, work schedules, and resource allocations. Ensure adherence to project HSE policies and site safety practices during all MEP activities. Participate in project commissioning, testing, and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum

10 years of experience

in MEP coordination, including at least

5 years in the UAE

with a main contractor. Strong knowledge of MEP design, coordination software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit MEP preferred), and authority standards. Proven experience in large-scale

high-rise or mixed-use building projects

. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines and in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in MEP BIM coordination and clash detection. Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and project correspondence. Strong analytical, documentation, and report-writing abilities. Knowledge of local authority submission processes (DEWA, DCD, DM, Etisalat, etc.).
