Duties And Responsibilities Of MEP Coordinator

Take overall responsibility for the performance and quality control of all MEP trades. Oversee and direct MEP subcontractors from the time of contract award to the project's completion. Manage and carry out the P. Agnes MEP coordination procedure to address any disputes before the installation process begins. may entail using Navisworks, Revit, and Autocad. Check shop designs and submittals for compliance and completeness before installation. Take part in the change order and cost review procedures in relation to the MEP trades. Helps the project manager estimate change orders as needed. Check that all MEP subcontractor pay requests are accurate and submitted on time. Offer the project team schedule recommendations for the MEP trades. Work with the project manager and field staff to coordinate onsite MEP activities, material procurement, and other relevant tasks. Update others on developments and compile relevant reports upon request. Investigate and help fix problems with field installation. Participate in weekly meetings with subcontractors, architects, and owners. If more meetings with the MEP subcontractors are required, chair them. Oversees the MEP trades' equipment installation of owner-provided equipment. Keeps an eye on the MEP system's installation, startup, and commissioning while working with the owner and engineer. Oversee and direct the owner training program. Oversee the MEP trades' close-out procedure. Keep up positive working connections with owners, engineers, architects, vendors, and subcontractors.

Strong communication skills

Five or more years of expertise in construction or MEP coordination A desire to work as a team Strong grasp of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems Ability to recognize and resolve complex issues General comprehension of building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes as they relate to project construction Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering. Familiarity with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors Proficient computer skills Proficiency with Navisworks, Revit, and Autocad
