Experience

5+ years

of relevant experience in MEP coordination. Strong background in handling MEP systems in

commercial, residential, or industrial

construction projects.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of

Responsibilities

1.

Planning & Design Coordination

Review and analyze MEP drawings, specifications, and project documents.
2.

Pre-Construction Activities

Participate in procurement planning: assist in reviewing technical submittals, material selections, and supplier qualifications. Ensure all MEP designs comply with local codes, safety regulations, and sustainability requirements. Develop coordination drawings and assist in MEP shop drawing review and approvals.
3.

Site Execution & Supervision

Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to ensure timely and correct installation of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, ELV, etc.). Monitor the work progress of MEP contractors against the project schedule. Inspect installation works for compliance with design, quality standards, and specifications.

Clash Detection & Issue Resolution

Perform clash detection using BIM tools. Organize coordination meetings between different trades to resolve conflicts. Recommend design modifications or site solutions when conflicts arise.
5.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Supervise and coordinate testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems. Ensure all systems are properly tested, balanced, and functioning before handover. Review and ensure proper documentation (O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, etc.) is provided for project handover.
6.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of inspections, site activities, and coordination meetings. Prepare weekly/monthly reports on MEP progress, delays, or technical issues. Issue RFIs (Requests for Information) when necessary to clarify design intent.
7.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure that all MEP activities follow site safety guidelines and legal requirements. Identify any unsafe practices and coordinate corrective actions. Ensure environmental and sustainability measures are followed during installation and commissioning Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure all MEP systems are well integrated into the overall design. Identify and resolve design conflicts or clashes (especially through BIM/3D modeling tools like Navisworks).

Pay: From AED9,000.00 per month
