MEP Coordinator

AED 6,000 - 8,000 per month (Based on experience)

Minimum 5 years (UAE construction projects)

Role Summary:

The MEP Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on construction projects. This role ensures all MEP systems are integrated smoothly with civil and architectural elements, coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely execution and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Review MEP drawings and specifications to ensure design accuracy and practicality on-site. Coordinate between MEP subcontractors, consultants, and other project disciplines to resolve technical issues. Monitor MEP work progress, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards. Participate in site inspections and approvals with consultants and relevant authorities. Ensure MEP installations comply with local codes, safety standards, and project requirements. Verify and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals. Liaise with procurement to ensure timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment. Attend coordination meetings, report site status, and raise concerns or clashes for resolution. Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems. Maintain accurate documentation and prepare weekly progress reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP coordination, ideally in UAE construction projects. Excellent knowledge of MEP systems, local codes, and construction practices. Strong communication and coordination skills. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project tracking tools. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
