Mep Construction Manager
Job Description
MEP Construction Manager will lead the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC scopes for a mixed-use high-rise in downtown Seattle. Reporting to the Project Director, you will translate design intent into fully coordinated field installations, overseeing union tradespeople and MEP budget.
Responsibilities include authoring and updating the 3-week look-ahead schedule, chairing weekly MEP coordination meetings with design engineers and trade foremen, reviewing 2-D and 3-D BIM models to clash-detect before construction, and enforcing all safety and quality programs to meet Seattle Energy Code and LEED Gold requirements. You will also manage RFIs, submittals, and change-order pricing submitted by MEP subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and municipal permits.The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, has 10+ years of ground-up commercial construction experience including at least three high-rise projects over 20 stories, and maintains an active Professional Engineer license or LEED AP credential. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and MS Project is essential, as is the ability to read and redline complex MEP shop drawings and sequence intricate overhead/riser installations. Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and OSHA 30-hour certification are required.
