Description

As a Medical Sales Representative, you will work strategically to increase the awareness and use of a multinational company's product in settings such as general medical practices, primary care facilities, and pharmacies. You will also make presentations during events and exhibitions as well as organize group events for professionals. Most of the time you will be working with contacts, at their location, on a one-to-one basis. Typical work activities involve contacting potential customers (in this case doctors, nurses, and pharmacists), identifying their needs, and persuading them that the products promoted can best satisfy their and their patients' needs. You will be pushing prescriptions and closing in on the prescription loop by ensuring proper availability and visibility of the products promoted in target pharmacies. Main Responsibilities include: Making presentations to pharmacists and doctors, educating on product science, and patient profiles, and understanding the impact of ongoing marketing actions including promotions and prescriptions. Keeping detailed records of all contacts and market data, including competition activity through an online system. Reporting to the management on a timely basis on a reporting format to be supplied by the management. Reports will include both Excel and PowerPoint. Planning work schedules - weekly and monthly timetables of clinic and pharmacy visits. This will involve working closely with your Area Supervisor and Sales Manager as well as discussing future targets. Regularly attend company meetings, client's technical data presentations, and briefings. Keeping up with the latest clinical data supplied by the company and interpreting, presenting, and discussing this data with health professionals during presentations. Maintaining knowledge of new developments in anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly. Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector, as well as opening new accounts and increasing product availability in pharmacies. Staying informed about the activities of health services in a particular area; Maintaining proper merchandising in pharmacies to ensure high visibility and attractiveness of the products. Check stock count and planogram compliance. Pushing sell-in and sell-out to achieve and exceed your team sales target, ensuring execution standards in POS. Other duties assigned: Initial training is intense as it involves incorporating product and medical knowledge as well as promotion and sales techniques. You may be asked to travel at times within the country and the region to attend exhibitions, conventions, group meetings, and training. All traveling logistics will be managed by the company. Main Skills Required Higher Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree. Commercial Background preferred Previous field sales experience preferred Beyond a qualification, we look at individuals and their potential.
