Mechanical Project Engineer - High-Rise Construction - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Azizi Developments is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Project Engineer to manage full-cycle execution of mechanical systems in high-rise and mixed-use building construction projects across Dubai. This role requires technical leadership, coordination, and hands-on project oversight across HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems to ensure on-time, quality-driven delivery.

What You'll Do

• Oversee mechanical works execution including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting, ensuring adherence to project specs and authority codes
• Review and coordinate IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead site activities and guide subcontractors to maintain quality, safety, and schedule compliance
• Conduct daily inspections, resolve site issues, and generate detailed progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Support procurement planning by reviewing BOQs and coordinating material delivery with internal teams
• Manage testing and commissioning of all mechanical systems to verify performance against project requirements
• Enforce project quality plans and HSE protocols, initiating corrective actions for non-conformities

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10-12 years of MEP project experience, ideally in large-scale UAE construction environments
• Strong command of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in high-rise developments
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and UAE authority codes
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project, and MS Office
• Excellent coordination, reporting, and leadership skills under deadline pressure
