Job Overview

• Manage and prepare Mechanical Material submittals (MARs) and inspection requests (MIRs)
• Review HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting material specifications for compliance with ASHRAE, ASTM, and NFPA standards
• Evaluate materials against project BOQs and technical requirements
• Coordinate closely with design consultants, site engineers, and procurement teams for timely approvals
• Support procurement in sourcing compliant mechanical materials
• Liaise with local authorities (DM, DCD, DEWA) to ensure all materials and systems meet regulatory requirements
• Maintain thorough documentation of all material evaluations and inspections
• Contribute to site audits and material quality reviews

Job Requirements
Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction or MEP projects
• Prior experience in the UAE or GCC region preferred

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety systems
• Strong understanding of international and local codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, ASTM, DM, DCD, DEWA)
• Proven experience handling MARs, MIRs, and technical submissions
• Effective coordination and communication skills
• Ability to evaluate material specifications and support engineering decisions
