Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer project manager in Steel Fabrication and Machining.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead metal works projects (steel, aluminum, facades, cladding, handrails, structures, etc.) from tendering to completion. Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to meet project specifications. Supervise fabrication, production, and installation teams to ensure work is carried out to required standards. Monitor project progress, resolve technical and operational issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and local regulations. Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements. Prepare progress reports, attend site meetings, and communicate updates with stakeholders. Control project costs, variations, and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field). Minimum 5-8 years' experience in project management within the metal works / construction industry. Strong knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication, installation methods, and industry standards. Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and AutoCAD (preferred). Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Preferred:

Previous experience in facade works, interior metal works or architectural metal structures. PMP or equivalent project management certification. Experience working in the UAE/GCC region.
