Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for a range of products including acoustic enclosures, fuel/diesel tanks, Towing trailers, and custom metal fabrications. Work closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable. Prepare and maintain BOMs, DXFs for CNC, and fabrication-ready drawings. Revise existing drawings and models based on feedback or design changes. Conduct basic engineering calculations to verify structural integrity, dimensions, and tolerances. Collaborate with Fabrication teams to understand project requirements and deliver optimal design solutions. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and safety regulations (e.g., UL, ISO, etc.). Assist in product development, prototyping, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in fabrication/manufacturing industry. Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, welding, and fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good English and written communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

Experience with design of acoustic enclosures, diesel tanks, trailers, or similar fabricated products. Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., UL 142/2085, ISO, ASME, etc.).
