- Responsible for the design, development, modification and implementation of equipment and processes to aid in the farming systems.
- Responsible for drafting mechanical plans, revision of specifications, and calculation analysis
- Provide support for the design and implementation of HVAC System, monitor its performance and functionality, troubleshoot, and improve system and the supporting equipment.
- Responsible for specifying and building networks of sensors, actuators, conveyors, motors, drives, relay logic, PLC systems and other types of control panels for HVAC systems
- Work with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Reading and understanding mechanical plans and wiring diagrams, equipment\xe2\x80\x99s specifications.
- Perform heat load and loss calculations
- Handles equipment selection and fan sizing
Supports in the engineering designs required for the mechanical system and line layouts for the system and supporting equipment.- Participates in design reviews.
Lead, coordinate and support new equipment integration and equipment modifications.- Hands on support of new and existing equipment and processes.
- Collaborates with various teams establishing and executing design criteria with all stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
- Assists with FAT requirements for equipment and systems, attends FAT testing of equipment.
- Work according to project timelines and required processes,
- Coordinate with vendors and develop detailed Requests for Quotation
- Ensure current safety regulations are followed for all equipment used.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- BSc. or BE in Mechanical Engineering.
- Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in related position
- Previous experience in Food, Agriculture, or Agriculture Technology is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly effective interpersonal skills
- Teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to work
- Able to multitask and prioritize the workload
- a flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Advanced skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to analyze and assess the existing conditions and react in timely manner.- Experience in operating equipment development programs in a Stage Gate System.
- Experience with process/equipment validation, documentation, and execution \xe2\x80\x93 IQ, OQ, PQ.
- Familiar working with structural components, control systems, plumbing and electrical components.
- Proven track record of experience with HVAC system.
- Proficient with software like AutoCAD and Revit; Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
- Experience with Trane Trace or any other manufacturer software is a plus
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication and welding.
Strong knowledge of OSHA codes is a requirement.
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) codes is a plus
- Knowledge of Emirati codes and regulations is a plus.
- Experience with Project management software like Primavera, MS Project is a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time in person position with normal work hours and workdays. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
