Job Description
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing mechanical systems for high-rise building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical services. The role involves coordination with architects, structural, and electrical teams to ensure efficient and compliant design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings, layouts, and specifications in compliance with local and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.). Perform heat load calculations, duct sizing, and pipe sizing using relevant software. Design HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems for high-rise buildings. Review shop drawings and coordinate with site teams to resolve technical issues. Conduct value engineering to optimize system performance and cost efficiency. Ensure all designs comply with authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DCD, etc.). Prepare BOQs, material submittals, and technical reports. Coordinate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams for seamless integration. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning stages.
