Job Description

We are looking for a

Mechanical Design Engineer

with

5+ years of experience

in building construction projects within

Abu Dhabi.

The role involves designing and developing

HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire & life safety (FLS)

systems, ensuring compliance with local standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, detail-oriented, and capable of preparing accurate design drawings and reviewing MEP specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Design HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and FLS systems for commercial and residential building projects. Prepare design drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD or Revit. Conduct load calculations and perform system sizing for ducts and pipes. Review and finalize MEP specifications to ensure compliance with local and international standards. Coordinate mechanical design with architectural, structural, and electrical teams. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input during project execution. Liaise with authorities and contractors to ensure design approvals and implementation compliance. Stay updated with local building codes, sustainability standards, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum

5+ years of relevant experience

in building construction projects in

Abu Dhabi.

Strong knowledge of

UAE codes, ESTIDAMA, Civil Defence, and local authority regulations.

Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant HVAC/plumbing design software.

Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary & Benefits

Salary:

AED

12,000 - 15,000 per month

(depending on experience)
