Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
Oxypro Electromechanical Contractors is looking for Mechanical Design Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities :
-Review and verify IFC/Tender drawings for HVAC and Plumbing systems.
-Manage and provide technical directions to the drafting team for accurate and timely preparation of shop drawings.
-Coordinate with the remote BIM team and in-house CAD team for drawing development and clash-free coordination.
-Use Revit and Navisworks to review 3D models, detect clashes, and ensure compliance with design intent.
-Prepare or modify design calculations, layouts, and schematics for Design & Build projects.
-Liaise with project managers, consultants, and site teams to resolve design and coordination issues.
-Ensure all drawings and designs comply with project specifications and authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, etc.).
Provide technical support during project execution
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
4-8 years of experience in MEP contracting (UAE experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing design principles and authority standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks (for design and coordination review).
Experience managing BIM and CAD drafting teams.
Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
