Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare mechanical designs, equipment specifications, and technical drawings for oil & gas facilities. Provide technical support for rotating and static equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, pipelines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.). Work closely with process, electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineers. Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for project stakeholders. Supervise fabrication, welding, and erection of piping and mechanical systems. Ensure proper installation of rotating/static equipment at site (alignment, grouting, piping connections, etc.). Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure material traceability, welding inspection, hydrotesting, and NDT compliance. Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is executed as per project specifications and schedules. Resolve technical site issues and provide engineering clarifications (TQs/RFIs). Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans to maximize equipment reliability. Ensure spare parts management and vendor coordination for critical equipment.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of work experience in upstream Oil and Gas Industry preferably in the Middle East.Note:
