Job Description
We are seeking a skilled
Mechanical Design Engineer
for a short-term contract role to support engineering design projects in Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and project documentation within the UAE/GCC region.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications using
AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
. Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design compliance with local regulations and client requirements. Perform calculations for load, stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics as needed. Prepare technical reports, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and project documentation. Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, BS) and UAE/GCC codes. Liaise with suppliers and contractors for material sourcing and fabrication support.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
or related field.2+ years of UAE/GCC experience
in mechanical design (preferred industries: construction, oil & gas, MEP, or manufacturing). Proficiency inCAD software
(AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar). Knowledge ofFEA tools
(e.g., ANSYS) is a plus. Familiarity with UAE/GCC engineering standards and regulations.Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: AED6,500.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
