Job Description
Pioneer Engineering Consultancy is pleased to announce exciting new career opportunities to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, KSA.
Responsibilities:
Design HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems for building projects from concept to detailed design. Perform heat load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, pump head calculations, and equipment selection. Prepare mechanical design drawings, schematics, schedules, specifications, and BOQs. Coordinate mechanical design with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines. Ensure designs comply with international standards, local codes, and authority requirements. Review shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs from contractors to ensure compliance with design intent. Participate in design meetings, technical reviews, and value engineering exercises. Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning stages (if part of scope).
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 4-8 years of experience in mechanical building services design (HVAC + Public Health). Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools (HAP, Carrier, Elite, etc.) and AutoCAD/Revit. Strong knowledge of relevant standards and codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, local codes). Experience preparing complete MEP design packages and reports. Ability to coordinate with other disciplines and resolve technical conflicts. Good communication, analytical, and time-management skills.
