Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

Mechanical BIM Modeler

to join our MEP team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining

3D mechanical models

using

Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks

. The role involves close coordination with engineers, architects, and other BIM professionals to ensure accurate representation and integration of mechanical systems in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and modify

3D BIM models

for

HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems

using

Revit and AutoCAD

. Ensure models comply with project specifications, local codes, and industry standards. Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical) to avoid clashes using

Navisworks or other clash detection tools

. Extract and update

2D drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings

from BIM models. Assist in creating

BIM families, templates, and parametric models

for mechanical components. Perform

quantity take-offs and BOQ generation

from BIM models. Maintain an organized

BIM database

and update revisions as per project requirements. Collaborate with

MEP engineers and site teams

to resolve design and installation issues. Ensure proper

file management, version control, and documentation

as per BIM execution plans. Participate in

BIM coordination meetings

with project stakeholders.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree

in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.

4+ years of experience

in BIM modeling for mechanical systems in the MEP industry. Strong proficiency in

Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks

. Familiarity with

BIM Level 2 and ISO 19650 standards

is preferred. Experience in

clash detection, coordination, and resolving MEP clashes

. Knowledge of

MEP codes and standards

(ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, DEWA). Ability to read and interpret

MEP drawings, schematics, and technical documents

. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

Experience with

Dynamo scripting for automation

in Revit. Knowledge of

LOD 300-500 modeling

for construction and facility management. Familiarity with

BIM 360, Tekla, and other BIM-related software

Pay: From AED8,000.00 per month
