Job Description

The Mechanical BIM Engineer is responsible for developing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Autodesk Revit and other industry-standard tools. This role will work closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to deliver coordinated, accurate, and high-quality models, ensure that all Mechanical elements are well-coordinated and construction ready. Your models will support both planning and execution phases of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain detailed 3D models of mechanical systems using software such as Autodesk Revit and other BIM tools Creates parametric families/components for mechanical equipment and systems Produce shop drawings, fabrication details, and construction deliverables from BIM models Support project workflows and timelines using BIM technology. Coordinate MEP systems with structural and architectural teams for clash detection Incorporate revisions based on design changes, RFIs, and site feedback Support 4D scheduling and quantity take-offs when required Collaborate with BIM Manager/Coordinator to ensure company BIM standards are upheld Maintain version control and documentation for all BIM files and outputs
QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP Discipline) is a must Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design and detailing Strong knowledge of BIM processes, standards (LOD, COBie, etc.), and documentation workflows Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM coordination tools is a plus Familiarity with construction drawings, detailing, and architectural design principles Degree or diploma in Mechanical engineering or a related field [3+] years of relevant industry experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience with international building codes and standards Familiarity with point cloud modeling or Scan-to-BIM workflows Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
