A leading Discount/Gifts Hypermarket located in a high-density labor area is looking for an experienced Meat Butcher to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled

Meat Butcher

to join our supermarket team in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of meat cutting, trimming, portioning, and hygiene practices. You must be capable of handling customer orders, maintaining display standards, and ensuring high levels of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Cut, trim, bone, and portion meat (beef, lamb, poultry, etc.) according to customer specifications or company standards. Prepare meat products for display in chillers and shelves. Ensure proper storage of meat products following food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the butcher area, tools, and equipment. Weigh, label, and price meat packages accurately. Monitor product quality, freshness, and stock rotation (FIFO). Handle customer inquiries and special meat cutting requests professionally. Follow all UAE food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality or Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority guidelines). Support stock ordering and inventory counts as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a

Butcher

, preferably in a

supermarket or meat shop

. Knowledge of meat types, cuts, and food safety standards. Basic understanding of HACCP and UAE food hygiene regulations. Ability to work in a cold environment and stand for long hours. Good communication skills and customer service mindset. Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting.

Preferred:

Previous experience in the

UAE or GCC

retail sector. Multilingual (basic English; Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus). Food handling certificate from UAE authorities (optional but beneficial).
