To ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the vessel under the command of the Master, in accordance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and client-specific requirements including Aramco and ADNOC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Command and overall responsibility for vessel operations, crew safety, and compliance.
Navigate and maneuver the vessel safely in near-coastal waters.
Ensure compliance with STCW II/3 certification standards.
Maintain vessel seaworthiness, safety equipment, and operational readiness.
Oversee cargo operations, anchoring, towing, and mooring procedures.
Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, and client-specific HSE protocols (Aramco/ADNOC).
Conduct onboard drills and safety briefings.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation.
Liaise with port authorities, agents, and clients during operations.
Ensure crew discipline, training, and welfare onboard.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Valid
STCW II/3 Certificate of Competency
(Master <500 GT Near Coastal).
Aramco-approved
or
ADNOC-approved
Master certification (preferred).
Minimum
36 months sea service
as OICNW or 24 months with 12 months as Chief Mate.
