Responsibilities

Scheduling timely transportation services Allocating Drivers for various transportation services such as pickups and deliveries Explaining and negotiating contract terms with drivers and other vendors Generating and processing transportation documents and invoices Keeping a track of the transportation budget and expenses Examining driver logbook entries Developing and implementing transportation policies and procedures Recruiting and overseeing the performance of the transportation stuff Addressing customer queries and complaints and reverting the urgent ones to the Transportation Manager Coordinating with the Transportation Manager to optimize transportation services Ensuring compliance with the industry regulations and requirements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience as a Transportation Specialist, Transportation Administrator, or a similar role in the Logistics department Complete knowledge of the industry rules, regulations, and logistics procedures Familiarity with logistics software such as Oracle NetSuite ERP, Dataman ERP, and Infor WMS Good time management and organizational skills Strong leadership skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and negotiation skills Ability to handle stressful situations Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual
